Exercise Two
If ever there was an idea custom-made for a Jay Leno monlogue, this was it: Robert Pattinson hasn't showered his hair since the making of Twilight. Isn't that like not brushing your teeth? Whatever happened to daily showers and personal hygene?
I happen to sympathize with Rob, though, perhaps because my hair takes forever to look perfect as well and i wouldn't want to shower it all the time either. I mean, come on, the guy is known for his incredible messy signiture hair. Would you wash a million dollars? No, and thats exactly why he doesn't shower his million dollar hair. Many people may think its disgusting but if thats whats making him successful then i say go for it rob!! don't shower!!

Hi Nadeen. Your exercise #2 paragraph is great! The directions said find something that was not only disagreeable but also laughable and you nailed it! I think you did a great job showing the two contrasting sides in both paragraphs, which just helped me get a better understanding of the argument, even if it was crazy. Your "they said" intro's in exercise #1 are also nicely done. It doesn't sound like you repeated any of them, they all seem original. The only thing I noticed is the presence of unecessary words like "so" in part B. or the double use of the word often in part D. Sometimes extra little words just make a sentense more complicated than it has to be rather than clarifying it.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your exercises are well done. Your exercise #2 topic was very funny and I like how you just ran with it into another paragraph. The only problem I found was a couple of typos. In letter F. of exercise #1, I think you meant to write book instead of "ook". In exercise #2 "hygene" should be hygiene. Toward the end of the paragraph, in the sentence "go for it rob!!" Rob should be capitalized.
